MOUSE Squad enables upper elementary, middle, and high school students to learn 21st Century Information Technology (IT), communication, leadership, and problem solving skills while providing tech support services to their schools.

The core elements of the nonprofit program include:
- Online curriculum with computer, software, and problem solving modules;
- Hands-on activities and service learning projects:
- Student-run help desk with paper and/or online ticket management systems;
- Volunteers to assist with curriculum, help desk, mentoring; field trips for students; internships for high school youth.

The $1,500 fee (+ $500 start-up fee) per site (mini-grants are available for qualified California schools) includes: o Online curriculum (20 - 30 hours) correlated with state curriculum and national technology standards; o Training of instructor/faculty advisor and site team; o Mini-trainings for "Computer In a Box" and other hands-on activities; o Computer tool kit, USB Flashdrives, Recruitment and Tech Help posters, ID cards, holders, & lanyards, Program DVD; o Coordination of volunteers who assist with curriculum, help desk, and mentoring; o Identification and coordination of internships for high school youth; o Interactive web space for instructor/faculty advisor sharing of ideas, activities, documents; o Access to web-based ticket management system; o Spring summit for participating California sites; o Site visits and overall program management and support.
