Short Description of Provider, Organization and Services:

Kindra Montgomery-Block has an extensive history as a trainer and organizer that has worked with communities and schools across the country. She has a widespread background in social justice youth development, school reform, environmental prevention, social marketing, and civic engagement. For over a decade Kindra has worked with community-based organizations to strengthen their capacity to support young leaders, develop and implement strategic plans, provide staff development on cultural competency, youth engagement, and program evaluation. Kindra has served on numerous community Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors, and has been involved in the implementation of many “new-start-up” youth development initiatives. She has recently been recognized by the Sacramento Observer Newspaper with a “30 Under 30 Award” commending her work as an influential young leader in the Capital Region.

Currently, Kindra is the Associate Director of Training and Technical Assistance for the UC Davis School of Education-Center for Community School Partnerships. In her position
she continues her work to address issues of youth equity and access while engaging the systems that impact them.

Kindra has a B.A. in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration.
