Short Description of Provider, Organization and Services:
The South Bay Center for Community Development (SBCCD) offers career pathway programs for low-income community residents in Los Angeles County as well as throughout California. One career pathway is called the Urban Teaching Fellow which is an accelerated teacher credentialing program that includes working part-time in an afterschool program while students go to school.
SBCCD also offers a summer youth employment program in LA County, LA Scholars, which places LAUSD students and graduates into internships in afterschool programs during the summer.
