We are a Youth Development organization providing services and programs for youth ages 6-18, Monday – Friday, in 9 locations throughout the Sacramento area. BGCGS is unique in that our programs are offered in safe, community-based locations, open daily, and dedicated to youth programs. Our programs are designed to help support youth in fun activities as they develop supportive relationships with peers and caring adults. These activities help young people to develop physical, social, artistic and life skills, nurturing their self esteem and building positive values that help them grow into healthy and responsible adults. All programs and activities are designed to maximize opportunities for young people to acquire four “senses” which are, a sense of belonging, a sense of usefulness, a sense of competence, and a sense of influence. This strategy of approach is the philosophy that underlies the programming for the Club.
