Region VI - After School Programs
The Stanislaus County Office of Education Prevention Programs Department serves as the Regional Lead Office for after school programs in Region VI which serves Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Tuolumne, Amador, and Calaveras counties. Stanislaus County (population: 439,508) is located in the northern San Joaquin Valley of Central California. Stanislaus County is the heart of the agricultural belt. Amador (population: 36,500), Calaveras (population: 42,450) and Tuolumne (population: 56,500) are adjacent to Stanislaus County located in the central Sierra Nevada Mountains. San Joaquin County (population: 523,000) is located about 75 miles east of San Francisco.
