Advisory Committee News
ASAPconnect recently invited applicants to apply for our advisory committee. We are thankful for all the qualified applicants that were willing to share their expertise. ASAPconnect is pleased to announce the following new members of the advisory committee:
- Mara Wold – Region 5 After School Lead – Monterey COE
- Kica Gazmuri - Senior Associate – California Tomorrow
- Tara Aroz – Grant Coordinator – Wheatland USD
With the addition of new members, comes the unfortunate task of saying good-bye to members of the committee that so kindly served for the first two years of the project. ASAPconnect thanks the following former advisory committee members for their effort, support, and expertise:

Assistance Providers: Complete a Survey- Chance to Win an Ipod Shuffle
ASAPconnect is partnering with the David and Lucille Packard Foundation in researching the technical assistance needs for summer programs and we need help from assistance providers! If you are a registered assistance provider in our database and fill out the on-line survey about assistance needs for summer programs, then you will be entered in the drawing for an Ipod Shuffle.

BOOST Announces The Legacy Summit
BOOST Conference has just announced that they will be adding The Legacy Summit to their conference being held in Palm Springs from April 28-May 1, 2010. The Legacy Summit is geared towards supporting older youth in out-of-school time programs. The Legacy Summit will take place at the Hilton Hotel, just one block from the Palm Springs Convention Center.
The deadline for submitting a proposal to present at the Legacy Summit is November 10, 2009 at 5:00pm Pacific Time. To access the RFP, go to the BOOST website at www.boostconference.org or call 619-232-6678 for more information.
