ASAPconnect would like to invite statewide technical assistance providers to attend a pre-summit training of trainers (TOT) workshop at The California Afterschool Network first annual Step Up High School Summit. The ASAPconnect pre-summit TOT will focus on engaging high school students, understanding youth culture, and providing relevant education to high school youth.

The California Afterschool Network is excited to host the first annual Step Up High School Summit on November 3-5, 2009 in San Diego, California! Program administrators, high school after school practitioners and high school principals are encouraged to attend. The conference will feature engaging workshops and presentations focusing on successful strategies for high school after school programs. The conference will also provide opportunities for high school practitioners to network and share resources and successful practices.

We are now accepting workshop presentation proposals for the 13th Annual Region V After School Conference: DISCOVER THE SUPERHERO IN YOU! on November 7, 2009 in South Santa Clara County (convenient location TBA). We are pleased to offer a $75 honorarium per workshop and complimentary conference registration for presenters.
All proposals are due by 5:00 PM on August 14, 2009, and presenters will be notified of acceptance or declination no later than September 8, 2009.
